Biennale di Venezia Arte 2024

La Biennale di Venezia was established in 1895 and is today acknowledged as one of the most prestigious cultural institutions. La Biennale di Venezia stands at the forefront of research and promotion of new contemporary art trends and organizes events in all its specific Departments: Art (1895), Architecture (1980), Cinema (1932), Dance (1999), Music (1930), and Theatre (1934) – alongside research and training activities. The 60th International Art Exhibition curated by Adriano Pedrosa and titled Stranieri Ovunque - Foreigners Everywhere, will take place from Saturday 20 April to Sunday 24 November, 2024, at Giardini, Arsenale and other places in Venice. The Exhibition, including 88 National Participations, will have its primary focus on the Nucleo Contemporaneo, with also a Nucleo Storico, gathering works from 20th century Latin America, Africa, the Arab world, and Asia. The exhibition will focus on artists who are themselves foreigners, immigrants, expatriates, diasporic, émigrés, exiled, and refugees.
