Hakanto Contemporary
Hakanto Contemporary celebrates and supports artistic creativity in Madagascar. Dedicated to showcasing the richness of contemporary Malagasy art, the non-profit independent space for artists, was launched in February 2020. Under the artistic direction of Joël Andrianomearisoa, the 300 m² space – located in the Ankadimbahoaka district in the south of the capital Antananarivo – contributes to dialogues between local and international art scenes, whilst affirming the uniqueness of Malagasy culture.
