Lokremise
In the heart of the city of St.Gallen is the Lokremise – the interdisciplinary cultural center with theater, dance, cinema, art and restaurant under one roof. The building, built in 1903, is the largest surviving locomotive depot in Switzerland. During the renovation in 2009/2010, care was taken to preserve the old, listed building structure. In the unique atmosphere of the historic building, the St. Gallen Concert and Theater, the St. Gallen Art Museum, the Kinok arthouse cinema and the Brasserie Lok restaurant offer a varied program.
