Musee d'art contemporain de la Haute-Vienne
It all started about 200 million years ago. A meteorite falls. The castle is built with rocks modified by the impact. After extensive reconstruction in the Middle Ages, the Musée d’art contemporain de la Haute-Vienne – château de Rochechouart was inaugurated in 1985 by the Département de la Haute-Vienne. It is recognized as a “Museum of France”.
