Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb
The Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb is a vibrant place for the creation, exhibition, interpretation and preservation of contemporary art in all its manifestations. Its aim is to encourage and foster the understanding of contemporary art through the professional, innovative and educational use of exhibitions and collections, enabling the most diverse groups of visitors to learn, be creative and have a unique experience. As a multi-program institution, it mediates heritage and the contemporary scene, from visual to performing arts to film, thus making it an active and critical part of the community.
The Museum of Contemporary Art, first and foremost, strives to be a public and autonomous space in which the categories of social engagement, responsibility, and equal opportunities for all are tested and questioned on a daily basis. Through direct communication with artists and the public, and by respecting their experiences, we question what has been achieved so that we can change and empower ourselves.
