Secession
As an international exhibition center for contemporary art run by artists, the Secession is an open place for the presentation of new artistic ideas and the examination of pressing questions of the time. Confronted with complex realities and global challenges, we see it as our task to negotiate cultural and socio-political issues and to initiate public debates in a sophisticated manner. The Secession offers artists space for a wide range of artistic expressions and a free platform for experiments, which are often the basis for the production of new works. The exhibition program is drawn up by the Secession board in a democratic and collective decision-making process.
